I'm very excited about it, especially since this year I will have my own table rather than sharing one, which will let me stretch my arms out a bit. But don't worry, my table partner from last year (Freedom Drudge) will still have a table right next to me if you wanted to grab a T-shirt or sketch from him.

Also, I'm trying to increase awareness for my table a little bit by using flyers. I'm going to place them in a few locations around Seattle, specifically: Apocalypse Tattoo, Slave to the Needle (Ballard location), Dreamstrands Comics, Easy Street Records (W. Seattle location), and Scarecrow Video.

The reason why I am mentioning them here is because the flyer also doubles as a coupon for 5 dollars off of every print you buy (and that's 5 bucks off each print!). So if you happen to be near one of those places, go grab one. Even if you don't plan on buying any prints, drop by and say "Hi!" just for the fun of it. I mostly do this to meet new people and shake some hands, the print thing is just an excuse to have the table.

See ya there!

I've updated my gallery with 3 new pieces of artwork! All three of these were to be for a popular metal band's album art, but the label decided to go in a different direction for the art, so they won't be used. Either way, it was a fun experience and I'm very proud of them! "Corrupted" "Single File" "Processing"

Be sure to mark your calendars and come out and visit me at my table in Artist's Alley at this year's Emerald City Comicon. If you have never been to the Washington State Convention & Trade Center in downtown Seattle, it's really easy to find. Just go downtown and find your way to 7th and Pike, across the street from the Cheesecake Factory and Gameworks.

Last year I was a little under the radar and a lot of people that I met wished they had known I was going to be there, so spread the word to your metal friends! I'll be chatting, meeting, sketching, and of course selling some prints of my work.

There will of course be prints available of my two Bloodbath paintings and Humwawa, but I will also have about 3-4 new prints of recent work as well!

My goal this year is just to have just as much fun as I did last year hanging out and meeting you folks, so stop by and introduce yourselves!

Metal Blade has just released the artwork for Six Feet Under's next album, which I did the artwork for. It's a little small, but here's a larger sized one here so you can see it in all it's glory. Also, if you like the band or the artwork itself, please grab a T-shirt as well!

Interview for Peaceandcarats.net

I won't be able to get to Lamashtu just yet, as I have been asked by the band Whitechapel to do their next album cover and layout. This will be a pretty major project for me as it is not just one cover, but multiple interior pieces as well so I have to make it my priority. Their concept is very grisly and epic, so I can't wait to start on it!

In other news, I can't show it quite yet but I recently finished up the cover to Six Feet Under's next album and am really looking forward to showing that one as soon as they officially announce it. I've always had a tremendous amount of respect for Chris Barnes and the other guys at Six Feet Under, so I am honored to have worked with them.

The next painting I will be working on will be another Babylonian demon, this time a female...the demoness Lamashtu, great rival of Pazuzu. Lamashtu is described as being a mixture of lioness and donkey features, riding or kneeling upon a donkey, suckling a pig and a dog on each breast respectively, and holding twin-headed snakes in each hand. She is known as the demon of miscarriage and would steal babies from their mother's wombs in the night and then eat them.

Personally, I find that one of the biggest goldmines of visual imagery ever and I can't wait to start working on it.

In other news, I do have a major album cover announcement coming soon for a rather notorious death metal band. I'm really excited to announce it, but naturally I have to wait until the band does so first.

Keep checking back for the full details on both!

At last, Humwawa's brother is finished.
With Humwawa, I just sort of went wild and did my own thing, but since there are already a lot of ancient relics of Pazuzu in existance, I decided to base my painting strongly on how those look.

I felt it was important to keep the hand positioning the same, as it is a constant theme with all Pazuzu relics and means life and death...creation and destruction.
