While I certainly appreciate what it means to struggle with finances, I can't reduce my rates because you don't have a label backing your band expenses. You have to understand my position. I have spent many years getting to the point that I have with my skill. I have to put food on the table just like every other working person on the planet. There is a saying that get's thrown around a lot which is "Time equals money", and this is one of those cases where that is one hundred percent true. 

If I did your album cover for 200.00 dollars and it takes me a month to paint, that is a massive discrepancy in time vs. money. Would you work at your job for an entire month and accept a 200.00 check from your boss? Exactly.
